Grandmothers Day
A Celebration of Irish Food Heritage
Sunday 21st April 2013, 11am-6pm
Sunday 21st is the Grandmothers Day Celebration. On this day we invite everyone to join us in Sandbrook for a celebration of Irish Food Heritage and Forgotten Skills. On this day food lovers, food producers, chefs, farmers and food experts will come together at Sandbrook House to celebrate Slow Food and Forgotten Skills. We will have Cookery Demonstrations from Darina Allen, Workshops for all the family and a great selection of Food Tastings and Farmers Market. Grandparents bring your grandchildren and watch them learn the skills of old.
Admission is €10 and includes free entry to all children with one adult, free car parking; free entry to all talks and the market. Please note that some demonstrations will have a small cover charge – sign up on the day on a first come, first served basis.
